Dative Case

For indirect objects, as well as for a number of special idiomatic constructions, Urdu uses a special form of the oblique case, called the dative case. The basic form of the dative case is just the oblique of the noun or pronoun followed by the postposition کو ("to").

Examples:

رام کو

to Ram

عورت کو

to the woman

مُجھ کو

to me

اُن کو

to them

میں پیسے لڑکے کو دیتا ہُوں۔

I give the money to the boy

We will learn many different uses of the dative case.
