پانی برسنا

“to rain”

View movie about پانی برسنا

برسنا by itself means “to fall from the sky” “to precipitate,” or  “to shower down.” In Urdu, the form of precipitation must be stated unless it is entirely clear from the context. Thus we normally say,

 پانی برس رہا ہے۔

It is raining. (Literally: Water is falling/preicpitating.)

There are a number of other ways to say “It is raining.”

پانی برس رہا ہے۔

ورشا ہو رہی ہے۔

برسات ہو رہی ہے۔

بارِش ہو رہی ہے۔

Note:
1.پانی takes "برسنا" or "पद़ना (پد़نا )
"
but ورشا, برسات + بارِش take only "ہونا" .

2.       پانی is masculine that’s why à "رہا ہے"

  ورشا

برسات à are fem. that’s why à "رہی ہے"

  بارِش ۔
